Day 4 Ellenbrae and Home Valley Station

Gibb River Road is the epitome of “Shake rattle n roll” or “ I’m all shook up”! Seriously .corrugated.

Stopped at Drysdale for morning tea. Lots of information boards but they didn’t want to load properly.

Some aboriginal art off the beaten track, that our guides showed us. No signs to it. And some strange figures in the tree stump.

Next stop was Ellenbrae - famous for its scones and we had amazing mango frappes!

We stayed the night at Home Valley Station, where we went down the road to the Pentecost River to watch the sunset against the Cockburn Range, but there was an incredible haze from some burning off somewhere so it was a bit underwhelming. Interesting phenomenon on the river - shoals of fish that swam together and occasionally jumped up, creating a swirl in the water that actually looked like a crocodile! And cattle grazing on the other side of the river.
