Day 2 Bell Gorge

Lots of driving. Lots of dust. Strangely barren land, trees are sparse and small, some grass, no shrubs to speak of. Saw glimpses of some wallabies but no kangaroos. Some kites flying low searching for lunch but very little bird life, although peewees seem prolific.

I only did the yellow walk, which was short but grade 4! About half the group, including Kit, did the red bit as well, short but technically grade 5! Beautiful waterfalls, a nice monitor sunning itself on a rock, and some lovely red and blue dragonflies, but I couldn’t get a picture of the blue ones.
