Broome again

Some impressions of Broome: roundabouts, red dirt, spread out, pearls, red dirt, art, long beach with no real surf, red dirt, no rush. Oh and it’s hot and humid.

Last night we tried to see the Staircase to the moon as it rose. Staircase was not very successful - too many clouds, but here is one photo:

Then this morning we went to another beach for a swim - the most notable thing was the cool water with very gentle waves and the weird rock formations. Saw some scuttling hermit crabs but very little life among the rocks. So different from coasts on the east

The blue of the.water is amazing - really cerulean. No pigface on the sand dunes, but this pretty pinkish vine. And a shag on the rock.

Then we saw the sunset over Cable Beach. Nice colours and a couple of camel trains as well. We are picked up at 6.20 am tomorrow, for the start of our Kimberley Adventure.

  3. Had difficulty getting on, Aira, but now all good to go. If the first two days are anything to go by, you and Kit are going to have an awesome time. More photos please.
